Building on cutting edge research from Karolinska Institutet, Cellcolabs is on a mission to accelerate advanced cell therapies to disrupt healthcare as we know it.


As part of this mission, the company have initiated clinical trials in The Bahamas to bring their propriety MSCs from benchside in Sweden to bedside at the local Bahamian partner clinics. At the core of the clinical operations in The Bahamas lies Cellcolabs laboratory where the final reconstitution step takes place before the cells are administrated to the trial participants.


We are now looking for a Lab Assistant who will be working together with the Lab Manager in the lab. The position is a temporary position spanning 6 months and will be based at Cellcolabs laboratory situated at Doctors Hospital West in Nassau, The Bahamas.


Responsibilities

As the Lab Assistant at Cellcolabs Clinics you will be working together with the lab manager in the lab where the reconstitution process takes place. The reconstitution is the final step before administration of the cells in the study participants.


The responsibilities include:

  • Work in the laboratory together with the Lab Manager
  • Participate in the reconstitution process and of shipment of the product to study site
  • Participate in the PBMC isolation and freezing process
  • Participate in coordinating and sending samples for required analysis
  • Assist in inventory management and procurement of materials and supply
  • Cleaning and material handling in the laboratory
  • Equipment management

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who enjoys working hands-on in the lab. Since the work includes working with cells, it is an advantage if you have previous experience of handling cells and isolation of PBMC.

  • Experience from working in a lab environment.
  • Good knowledge in English
